About this app
Shofol Inventory is published by Appifly BD Ltd. ("Appifly", "we"). It is used by warehouse and stock staff of companies that run their business on Shofol.
You cannot sign up in the app. Your account is created by your employer in their Shofol admin panel, which links the app to the employee record they already hold for you. Your employer decides which warehouses you can see and which actions — adding a product, adjusting stock, recording a return — your permissions allow.
What we collect
The app collects only what the features below need. There is no advertising, no analytics tracking and no crash-reporting SDK in the app.
| Data | What exactly | Why | Required? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-in details | Your work email and password when you sign in. The app keeps a session token afterwards, not your password. | To show you your employer's stock and nobody else's. | Always |
| Barcode scans | The code read by the camera when you scan a carton or label. | To look up the product, or to start adding one that is not yet on the system. | Always |
| Product details | Name, code, category, brand, unit, cost and sale price, reorder level, and a photo — for a product you add or edit. | This is the catalogue the app manages. | Always |
| Stock movements | What changed — a delivery, a count correction, damage, a customer return, stock sent back to a supplier — the quantity, and which warehouse. | To keep the shelf count and its accounting correct. | Always |
| Sales and purchase records | Invoices, bills and returns you create or view from the app, including customer and supplier names your employer has on file. | Stock changes are tied to the sale or purchase that caused them. | Where the plan includes it |
| App version | The installed version of the app. | To offer an update when a newer build is available. | Always |
The app does not read your contacts, calendar, messages or files, does not use your location, and does not collect device identifiers for advertising.
Device permissions
Each permission the app asks for maps to one feature, and you can decline it. What you lose is only that feature.
| Permission | Used for | If you decline |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Reading a barcode, and photographing a product you are adding to stock. | You can type a barcode and a name by hand instead of scanning or photographing one. |
| Photos | Choosing an existing photo for a product, on iOS. | Use the camera instead, or leave the product without a photo. |
| Local network | Sending a barcode label to a WiFi label printer through the phone's own print dialog. | You cannot print a label to a network printer; everything else works. |
| Internet | Talking to your employer's Shofol server. | Not optional — the app has no offline mode. |
Camera and photos
- The camera opens only when you tap Scan or Photograph it, never on launch and never in the background. It closes as soon as a barcode is read or a photo is taken.
- A barcode is read locally on the phone and only the resulting code — a string of digits, not an image — is sent to the server.
- A product photo you take is uploaded and stored against that product's record on your employer's system, visible to anyone on their team with access to the catalogue.
- The app does not record video and does not keep photos on the phone after they are uploaded.
Storage and transfer
- Everything the app sends goes over HTTPS to your employer's Shofol server, operated by Appifly at
accountra.appiflybd.com. - On your phone, the app keeps your session token in the operating system's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore-backed storage on Android). It does not store your password.
- Stock, product and transaction records are fetched when you open a screen and are not written to the phone's storage.
- A product photo is uploaded and then removed from the app's temporary files.
How long we keep it
Products, stock movements, and sales and purchase records are your employer's business records. They are kept for as long as your employer's policy and the law require. Appifly deletes a company's data when that company ends its subscription and the contractual retention period has passed.
Session tokens expire and are replaced on each sign-in.
Your rights and account deletion
You can see the stock and records your permissions allow at any time in the app. To correct a record, or to ask what is held about you, contact your employer — they own the record and can change it.
Deleting your account
Because your account is part of your employer's Shofol system, it is closed by your employer, normally when your employment ends. Ask them to deactivate your Shofol access. If you would rather ask us directly, email info@appiflybd.com from your work address with the subject "Inventory account deletion"; we will confirm the request with your employer and act on it within 30 days. Signing out of the app removes the session from your device immediately.
Children
This app is for employees and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
When we change what the app collects or how it is used, we update this page and the effective date at the top. Where a change is significant, the app tells you the next time you open it.
